Election Thanks

I wish to say a huge thank you to every single person who has supported me throughout the general election campaign, encouraged me and passed on their ‘well wishes’.

I huge thank you must go to those people who put up posters, placards and, particularly, to those people who helped on the ground with leafleting and door knocking. Every single person who contributed was valuable to the campaign and your efforts, big or small, are extremely appreciated. And finally, thank you to everybody who put trust in me and voted for me on the day!
Despite coming third, I can say with absolute conviction that the Labour Party team put in the most work, covered the most ground and were the most determined team in the Derbyshire Dales. If the election was based on effort and hard work, we would have won.

There are too many people to individually list and thank. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the number of people who cam forward to help from inside and outside of the party membership. We are indebted to each and everyone.

We may be defeated, but we are still defiant.
We will continue to strive to improve the lives of local people, working for the benefit of our local communities and fight for Labour values and beliefs in the Derbyshire Dales.

I have received a phenomenal amount of messages since the end of the campaign, but unfortunately so many that it has been almost impossible to reply to each one individually. I apologize, but I have read and appreciate each message.

Once again, thank you to everybody for their continued friendship and support, not just throughout the campaign, but throughout the years as well.
Best wishes,
Colin Swindell
Labour Party Candidate
